I bought this Ozeri ZK14-S Pronto Digital Multifunction Kitchen and Food Scale years ago for weighing food for cooking, and I love it for that. With a capacity of 179oz /5100g, or just over 11 pounds, this scale can handle most kitchen tasks. You can weigh in grams, pounds, pounds:ounces, ounces, and milliliters. It takes 2 AAA batteries, and they last quite a while. With only 2 buttons (TARE and UNIT) and the display screen, it is very easy to operate. The tare function (allowance for the weight of a container) works flawlessly, and the scale is very accurate.

However, for cannabis, it is almost completely useless. The scales lowest increment only goes down to a gram, nowhere near where it needs to be. When dealing with marijuana, you need something that measures down to at least a tenth of a gram, if not lower.

Even when weighing ounces, you want more accuracy. Measuring your precious flower to the tenth of a gram allows you to properly calculate THC levels in your edibles, both for the batch, and individual doses. That also comes in handy if you want to check your local dispensary’s product (if you want to get aggravated). Spend a few more bucks, and get a more precise scale unless you are just using it for cooking.
